Helpdadsheart.org as just celebrated 2 years in providing information and resources regarding Heart awareness and fighting against Heart Failure this month. We started this organization to help my father receive the device named LVAD " Left Ventricular Assist Device" which he has received in Sept 2009. We found that many options available are not known even by medical personal for stage 4 heart failure, we wanted to bring forward the elusive resource information that may help you gain the knowledge to help you and your medical provider in your battle against heart failure. My father since receiving this device is now using his experience as an investigator to help others in there quest of finding information and resources in battling Heart Failure. Our family would like to thank everyone that has contributed and helped in our goal and we look forward to continuing our efforts for the future. Please visit our "soon to be" discussion board/Blog and join in on what is going to be a fact finding and information experience for all.

What matters most
We
have found going through our fight with Heart Failure what really matters. First is
understanding the patient and family members. Second, finding the right doctor and or
group that will work with you.
Getting knowledge and resources for dealing with CHF, also remember it's a two way street so make sure doctors are addressing your concern.
Is there faith?
Our faith has brought us through many situations when dealing with this horrible
medical condition that takes life. I remember my dad telling me and still does, never
lose faith and never give up. What we have realized is faith gives us the
ability to go forward and many times goes hand in hand with our journey in life.
Because of the type work my dad did in his life, he has always said that faith many times is the only partner you can trust to help pull you through situations.
Left Ventricular Assist Device [LVAD]
Help
Dad's Heart was established in August 2009 by Jasmine Tiger to get her Dad a
Life Saving Mechanical Device that runs off batteries known as a LVAD.[ Left
Ventricular Assist Device] as his only option to stay alive.
Heart Failure was Due to a so called " Miracle Drug " known as Avandia, which doctors and the public learned later of the danger it presented. However, for my Dad the damage was done and not reversible.
Dad now has the LVAD and it has been two years as of Sept 2009 and the Tiger family at Help Dad's Heart are continuing to raise funds and fight heart failure and research options to help others that are going through the pain we still go through.
There are two programs that the LVAD is used for and that known as "Bridge to Transplant" and "Destination Therapy" which has just become FDA approved.
My Dad currently still on the trial program that was offered before FDA approval, since this is in unknown territory for the Medical field they needed study subjects. My Dad is alive and he is proud to be involved in helping with new technology that may save thousands of lives in the future Although he is still on the trial, it has now become FDA approved and more medical institutions are looking into the program.
Help us by talking to your doctor and your medical center about the program.

We want to say now "Thank You" from my heart and the Tiger Family, God bless all.
